By |March 14th, 2016|Categories: VMware, vRealize|Tags: , , |

When you need to upgrade your vCenter Operations manager 5.8, you will need an additional step. First you need to upgrade to vRealize Operations Manager 6.0 and then do an upgrade to 6.2 version. So In part one I’ll go through the deployment of the appliance, part 2 the initial setup, part 3 the migration of 5.8 to 6.0 and finally part 4 upgrade to 6.2 version of vRealize Operations manager. Windows Domain controller event id 4012 DFSR

By |February 28th, 2016|Categories: Uncategorized|

(DC2 was shut down for longer then 60 days. homelab) after some searching i found that just simply set MaxOfflineTimeInDays greater than the days in the eventlog. so i used command in elevated command prompt: wmic.exe /namespace:\\root\microsoftdfs path DfsrMachineConfig set MaxOfflineTimeInDays=65 change 65 to the days greater than in the event: for example 300 days if possible reboot your servers or wait few minutes for a succesful replication Consider setting the MaxOfflineTimeInDays back to original days of 60
