where to find your versions?
ESXi stand alone host
Connect to ESXi host with VMware vSphere Client. On the top of the ‘getting started’, ‘Summary’, ‘Virtual Machines’,… you found your build number
Vmware vCenter
VMware vSphere Client:
Connect with your vSphere Client to your vCenter server.
Go to ‘Help -> About VMware vSphere’
It’s the same as above “ESXi host” to find the ESXi build number. just click on you ESXi Host in your ‘Host and Clusters’ Icon.
VMware vSphere Web Client:
Go To ‘Home -> vCenter -> vCenter Servers (under Inventory Lists) -> “click your vCenter server”. There under Version Information you see your build number, the rest is under ‘Help -> About VMware vSphere’
