Make sure you follow my previous post of how to deploy the vRealize Operations Manager Appliance 6.x

So once you deployed the appliance and powered it on(wait enough time to let it start), you can now navigate to the appliance using your favorite browser. I used google chrome. Open your browser windows and type in the URL/ip of the appliance https://<>

If this is your first appliance you can choose either Express installation or new Installation. For the migration you will need to choose new Installation. If you have very large productions sites or multiple datacenters sites, you can expand your Existing installation also. This will allow you to monitor from single pain of view. Choose ā€œNew installationā€Ā  for now.

The first window shows the different steps the setup will go through. Click Next.

First choose a strong administrator password but donā€™t lose it. Click Next.

If you bought a certificate then you can now install your certificate here. For now I used the default certificates from VMware. Click Next.

Next you will need to fill in the Name from you master Node. Make sure you choose a name thatā€™s clear in your environment. In the NTP server address you can use external NTP (if your firewall doesnā€™t block the port) or internal NTP server. I used the NTP server of my country. Add as many as you want or need

Thatā€™s all for now and we are ready to complete the initial Setup. Click Finish.

Wait a while until you get the following screen. Here you can ā€œStart vRealize operations Managerā€by clicking the button.

You will get the following warning that you will need to confirm that is the First application Startup. So Click Yes to confirm.

Wait a few minutes again and follow the status in the nodes view

Once Powered on you will get the following screen to login. Use user admin and password you previous set in the initial Setup.
